About Merlee Harris ND

Merlee Harris ND has spent over 41 years totally dedicated to health and well being and spiritual development. She says that it has been the most rewarding and uplifting journey of self discovery and she gives gratitude for the good fortune and experience.

Merlee has owned and managed successful businesses, often running them simultaneously. She facilitates health and well being retreats in several countries. The Sanctuary of Light, her London clinic, gave 25 years of service and Beechcroft Retreats has been running since 2000.

In June 2007 Merlee was awarded the BEAMM for Recognition of Enterprise, Excellence and Achievement. In August 2014 The Global Directory of Who’s Who, honoured Merlee V Harris ND as a Life Time Member, in recognition of hard work, dedication, perseverance and for demonstrating leadership and contributions to the medical profession as a Top Health Professional.

Working with enthusiasm, passion and integrity and has helped people from all over the world with various health problems and continues on her personal spiritual path to this day.

As an author, Merlee has added to her repertoire by sharing her years of health knowledge internationally.

About Beechcroft

Beechcroft can house up to 12 guests in twin/double rooms, 2 singles are available on a first come first serve basis. Well decorated the facilities are modern and include the new Yoga Studio and Treatment rooms. 

All food prepared for visitors is of a high standard using non toxic titanium cook wear, not to mention Merlee’s recipes and knowledge on nutrition is legendary, incorporated since 2015 is the use of edible essential oils which carry great therapeutic value.


Set near the wonderful Home of Winnie the Pooh sometimes known as ‘The Enchanted Forest’, Beechcroft Retreats is a ‘Chocolate Box’ Cottage situated in Upper Hartfield, East Sussex. The property is set in over 2.5 acres.

Locally Ashdown Forest originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, is now one of the largest free public access space in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known the world over as the ‘home’ of Winnie-the-Pooh.

The Forest is at the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has national and international protection because of its wildlife. Nearly two thirds of its 6500 acres (2500 hectares) are heathland, amounting to 2.5% of the UK’s extent of this rare habitat.
